Our story

Touchpulse was born out of curiosity, coffee chats, and a shared passion for using tech to make a difference. Back in 2021, Liam started his journey at TU/e, diving into sustainability and innovation. His work at the SimEnergy project sparked a fascination with smarter, greener cities — and with entrepreneurship. This led him to The Gate, startup programs, and international competitions where he sharpened his skills. Meanwhile, Sjoerd was leading Team HART, turning financial insights and a TU/e Contest win into a love for building solutions that matter. After competing against each other in 2023, Liam and Sjoerd finally sat down for a drink and realized they shared the same mission: use technology to empower people. Touchpulse was born.

Fast forward: Touchpulse placed second in the TU/e Contest 2024, the team grew to ten, snagged free office space, and won €50,000 at the AI Pitch Competition. Touchpulse is proof of what happens when innovation, friendship, and a great ecosystem collide.
